Working title:

When Every Photograph
Becomes a Treasure
We Cannot Afford to Lose

(2025 - work in progress)
Recently, my dad — my adoptive dad — passed away, transitioned. And in my eyes, he won his battle with cancer because he found the courage to let go. To navigate this loss, I am developing a new series that delves into the complexity of grief. This work asks:
How do we carry what loss leaves behind?
Loss is a recurring theme in my practice — not as something to solve, but as something to hold. To stay with. To carry differently, every day. This series is not about healing, but about learning how to live with grief — to navigate the unavoidable: death.
I aim to explore how art can offer what is often hard to put into words — to give ‘loss and grief’ a visual language. To say: this is what I feel. To allow it. To welcome it. And, hopefully, to resonate with others.
